you ARE (inconceivable)

There is no such state as seeing the real. Who is to see what? You can only BE the real---which you are, anyhow. The problem is only mental. Abandon false ideas; that is all. There is no need of true ideas. There aren't any.---Nisargadatta

  1. Neat passage. There is no one to see the real or have ideas. There is just this.

  2. This is from one of my favorite paragraphed quotes: Love says "I am everything". Wisdom says "I am nothing". Between the two, my life flows. Since at any point of time and space I can be both the subject and the object of experience, I express it by saying that I am both, and neither, and beyond both. --Nisargadatta Maharaj

I've read much of "I AM THAT." Never finished it, but it is useful to survey different teachers and their works for sure. Thanks for sharing that quote! I'd forgotten about this fellow. ~~j

  3. Hi Jeremy, the Love and Wisdom quote is memorable. I find it intriguing that certain words(out of the thousands we encounter daily) will strike us very strongly at a particular moment. That seems to be part of the mystery of what we call sharing.
