What you are is "no thing",
not even existence or non-existence,
consciousness or unconsciousness,
in time or timeless.
All such designations are conceptual
and in duality.

I like Wheeler's pointer and your post title. For a while I thought I was consciousness, love, peace, freedom, etc. It's funny that it feels like a relief be no concept, absolutely no-thing at all. Interesting to ponder who could feel relief and if relief even exists at all.
ReplyDeleteWe are context, not content. Love this quote, thanks Tom.
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen, I hate to say it, but 'context and content' appear to be another pair of opposing "conceptual designations in duality."
ReplyDeleteDon't they?
Just so it is! Non-duality
ReplyDeleteProfound and tranquil, free of complexity.
Uncompounded, luminous clarity.
Beyond the mind of conceptual ideas.
Greetings, Vareda !
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of Ken Wilber's phrase to "transcend and include"?
Are you familiar with his writing(especially regarding non-duality)?
Hi Diane, regarding 'things' like relief, I like the analogy of the 'wave.' We can certainly point to 'a wave' (even of relief), but we usually don't think of it as a 'separate entity.'
